The figure in this work sits naked, deformed and staring at the viewer, observing their reaction and interpretation of it. The figure is an embodiment of shame, confined to the canvas, and though usually shrouded in darkness, it is brought into the light for this piece. The work provokes a reflection on the parts of yourself that you hide away and aims to help you understand that the wounded parts of yourself deserve to be seen and comforted.
