Eros the limb loosener

This work is an exploration of abstraction based on a digitally altered still life. The collaged inspiration depicts different facets of lesbianism including iconography of love, femininity and fetishisation.
One side of the painting blends the details together to construct an aesthetically pleasing but superficial depiction of the lesbian experience.
The flip sides detail demonstrates the full detail of the collage and the complexity of the lesbian experience.
